This one-of-two flats skiff designed and built by Travis Hickman for country music star Alan Jackson is a fully functional work of art. As one of the smallest members of the Hullbilly fleet, the Tadpole was purposely built for the music legend's love for bonefishing. The Tadpole is incredibly stable and poles like a dream in 4-5" of water. Travis built the boat as large as possible to fit the constraints of the Hullbilly's bow; evident w/ the inset motor. The added benefit of the extra floatation under the poling platform is apparent as soon as one begins to push the boat across the flats with a total weight being 700lbs. The boat is perfect for skinny water. The wood construction also provides nearly complete silence compared to a fiberglass hull; a crucial factor for those who like to stalk the flats.
