Sleek Italian styling, lush accommodations and a good turn of speed characterize the Azimut 58, a state-of-the art yacht when she was introduced to the European market in 1998. Built on a deep-V hull with propeller pockets to level the engines, the interior of the Azimut 58 is a rich blend of high-gloss cherrywood cabinets and trim, posh furnishings, and impeccable detailing. The galley-down layout—unusual in a modern Azimut interior—results in a very expansive salon. Entering through a sliding glass door, a curved leather sofa is to starboard and wet bar (with bottle and glass storage) is to port. A plush C-shaped settee with cocktail table is forward of the wet bar. The Azimut’s recessed galley is two steps down in the aft port corner of the salon. There are three staterooms and three full heads on the lower level. The master and forward VIP staterooms have queen berths, and the guest cabin has side-by-side berths. Crew quarters with a single berth and toilet are aft. An appealing feature of this yacht is her large aft deck with its teak sole and twin entryways to the extended swim platform. A relatively light boat for her size, with a cruise at 26–28 knots.
