In Short- A Really Groundbreaking Yacht In Many Respects, Pushing Technology and Functionality to New Heights in a 55ft Package
The new Sunseeker Predator 55 stands out within its range with its retractable glass and carbon fiber sunroof, operated via the helm console. The huge sunroof electrically slides aft, unveiling the sky above and allowing natural light to flood the interior. This feature, combined with expansive glazing and a single-piece double-curved windshield, enhances the yacht’s stylish exterior and creates a bright, open interior space.
The aft cockpit is designed for versatility, with seating that can be repositioned to align with the fixed seating and table amidships, accommodating up to six guests and featuring an electrical sun canopy. The large sun pad over the garage includes adjustable headrest bolsters and offers an enviable view aft. The yacht’s design integrates style and functionality, highlighted by angular aft fairleads and scalloped stainless steel engine vents. Low-level LED deck lighting and a fixed signature transom traverse enhance the aesthetic while ensuring seamless functionality, even with the swim platform lowered.
The single-level main deck features a spacious saloon and an L-shaped galley. The galley side units connect with the linear cockpit wet bar, creating an uninterrupted flow between indoor and outdoor spaces when the patio door is opened to port. Expansive glazing ensures unobstructed sightlines and connects all onboard with the horizon. Twin bolstered seats complement Sunseeker’s innovative helm station that allows the captain to stand up at the helm without having to open the sunroof.
The interior layout has been highly customized. This Predator 55 is built for the American Yachtsman, accommodating up to six guests in comfort and enhancing the yacht’s versatility. The layout maximizes space with three cabins, 2 heads and a laundry room in the main cabin area. The luxurious full-beam owner's cabin provides generous private quarters with a central double bed, sofa seating, a sideboard, and ample storage, including a full-height wardrobe and an extensive en suite. The forward cabin also features an en suite and plenty of storage. The added starboard guest cabin features two twin beds. All three cabins offer increased headroom, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness for long-distance cruising.
